give thanks

episodes from the edge:

potty training day #what-the-h***-was-i-thinking….

episode 1: i am in the kitchen & pezzy is across the family room.  i see her suddenly jump up from what she is doing, rip of her training pants and run to the shelf where we have pull ups.  she grabs one and pulls it on as i am walking over to her and she says – i have to poop!!!  so apparently changing to a pull up to poop is easier than going in the potty.

episode 2: we are sitting on the couch.  suddenly she stands up.

Pez: mom, am i wearing undies or a pull up?
Mom: undies
Pez: EMERGENCY!!!!  **flies of couch and runs toward gate screaming potty potty someone get me outta here!!**

i have a fairly clean & simple card today:

SFYTT

i covered numerous challenges again – easy during holidays tee heeee!  they are:

Sketch For You To Try – i always love Jen’s sketches over at i{heart}2stamp and this one is no different!
Cuttlebug Spot #55 – Give Thanks – truly outstanding saples this week and a $20 gift certificate to Custom Crops up for grabs!
Scrapmaster’s Paradise Color Combo #22 – Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Sage Shadow, Dusty Durango – PERFECT thanksgiving colors!
Our Creative Corner – Vintage style embelishment or vintage inspired
GlueScissorsPaper #10 – Create a Thanksgiving card using a Nestie – i JUST discovered this challenge blog and they are offering a great prize up for grabs to anyone who participates in their challenges

Now for my card – i used a wonderful cuttlebug embossing folder/die combo set – i rarely use a cuttlebug die and i have to be honest – i only got this one because i like the embossing folder but it came as a set.  well i just have to say CB dies cut like a DREAM!  i am very pleased!!  and i like the vintage-y look to both the border and the embossing.  i did the stamping & inking with Brilliance Pearlescent Rust ink – SO shimmery and creamy smooth – excellent results with even the cheapest of acrylic stamps!  i finished off with just a couple Chocolate Glittered Skittles and was trying to figure out what else to add and decided i liked it just the way it is – not as fancy and intricate as some but still good i think!

i just got some gorgeous new rubber in and will be planning a release soon so keep an eye out for that!  there are four new Christmas designs here just barely in the nick of time!  they truly are works of art done for me by my mom and my brother!

have a great day and i am SO glad you took some time to visit me today!
