quickie post today as i have LOADS i am hoping to get done!  Be sure to check the other PDD DTs in the playgroup today and see what they have up for today too!

sfytt101009I used Jen’s SFYTT for today’s card.  she always has the greatest sketches!!  i have a Christmas one for you today – one of my brother’s digi images:

SFYTT

i paired it up with some great paper from graphic 45 and then made a little embellie with Joys of the Season on my cricut.  i finished off with some Pezabling acrylic squares from the Vintage Christmas mix.

i love the vintage-y feel of this image and the great depth of shading in it.  makes it super easy to color too!  i used copiccs here.

be sure and stop by the store for this great digi image, some pezabling or anything else stampy!

hugs!

CC239: vintage christmas

whew what a busy morning!!  pezy to playschool – we were a bit late so everyone was playing and she ran into the room, threw her arms out and announced loudly “i’m here!!”  yikes!  then she ran over to play with a couple little girls – SO CUTE!!  then a doctor visit for blood work – hate it – i don’t give it up easily so after three tries i have bruises on both arms ICK!  then pezzy and i took a walk and now she has a little friend coming over to play 🙂  but i DID get some play time in and MAYBE even found some mojo after some inspiration from today’s color challenge…

i also remembered to pull out one of those cuttlebug folders i just HAD to have back when they came out!  i think this one is just beautiful.  i kept the LO fairly simple though i considered a BIG bow…..just some border dots with opal dimensional pearls and a few vintage-y pezabling acrylic squares.  notice i resisted my urge to ink the CB embossing….

i used one of the digi images i released Friday.  This is a grouping of poinsettias drawn by my uber talented brother!  i printed it right out on Kraft cardstock and then colored with prisma pencils.  i dotted the centers with a spica glitter pen.  i think this might be my color of choice for any snowmen i might do this year too – the white just POPS!

well i am off for now.  back tomorrow with another christmas card 🙂

have a great fall day!!

Today’s card uses digi images – i know there is a lot of debate about these.  i have a laser printer so i never battle the ink bleeding like some do.  the fun thing about digi *stamps* is that they are completely customizable as far as size and orientation (tho i still love rubber because i can do so much more with it).

and here is my card:

i combined several digi images for this one – the framework that fits inside the nestie was done from a sketch my mom did for me that i digitized.  the two little birds and their birdbath are digi stamps from all that scraps.  i was able to re-size, rotate and flip the images so the fit just right within my frame.

i would love to hear what you think!  comments always make my day!!
