It’s another PaperCrafts reject day!

good morning!

i would say happy monday but that would be an oxymoron right?  i had a very busy but productive weekend and all of YOU will benefit from it!  HOW?  well i have been delving into the depths of the storage room where i keep all of the products i stock at my web store – Pezadoodle Designs.  as alot of you know i have been gradually moving in new directions and closing down the web store.  however in order to do this i need to sell everything i still have in stock.  well in my deep cleaning this weekend i found LOTS of stuff that was NOT posted in the store including many Tim Holtz items, a wide variety of Ranger embossing powders, Flower Soft items, ink pads, grungeboard, the list goes on and on.  i will be working on getting it all posted to the store and then mark it ALL down even further to 40% off!!!!!  I am serious about needing the space in there and all of those products would love to find new homes and get put to use!  you can browse now and see the changes but if you want to wait to shop until i have listed it all i will let you know once i am finished.  i still have to go through my gigantic pile of Studio G items yet!

I am also beginning to get requests for digi work – banners and blinkies and such for folks.  I have a feeling the que is going to fill fast so if you are considering having some done let me know soon so you can be ahead in the line up!  CHECK HERE for the info!

and now i have another Paper Craft reject card to share!  in watching facebook posts i can see i am in good company!

This was Sketch 25 – i rarely make cards this shape so it was a nice change.  I thought the three little squares in the sketch would make nice boxes to showcase some quilling from the Birthday Quilling Kit i have from Quilled Creations.  i had a REALLY hard time getting a pic that didn’t make the quilling look blurry for some reason 😛  but the coolest thing about this kit is that the papers in the kit are gradient papers which gives your quilled pieces a different look – very cool i think!  like all of my submissions i kept it simple – a strip of super glittered Best Creations Let’s Party paper and a few glittering Pezabling accents.  have i convinced you to try some quilling yet????

and now i am off to clean the refrigerator – it has suddenly moved to the top of my list this morning 😦  and then back to adding things to the store – next bunch of stuff – a bunch of embossing powders and UTEE – cool stuff!!!

have a FABULOUS day!!!

hugs

my post today is for try it out tuesday over on the SCACD blog.  i am a bit late with it because i wanted to use the SCS color challenge too so susana sked me to post thursday instead.  i am glad she let me wait as i just LOVED the color combo on SCS!  Old Olive, Barely Banana and Ballet Blue.

In addition I also entered it in the following challenges:

Cuttlebug Spot – Flowers
Creative Card Crew – April Showers bring May Flowers

Suzanne gave us DTs a GREAT sketch to work with this week and here is mine:
I started with this cute little stripey paper from the Kaisercraft – Pack Your Bags 6×6 paper pad. i used a cuttlebug folder from the Asian bundle for the two angeled panels. for the embellishments i decided to do little paper quilling to match the image (check out the goodies available from Lake City Craft – great products i must say!) the blue flower has a little drop of Viva Decor Gloss Gel.

My image is Little Danni with Flutterby by Victoria Case. I stamped with Memento Black ink and colored her with Copics. Her eyes and the blue band on her dress are done with a spica glitter pen. She is cut out with the spellbinders label 11 nestibilities.
i hope you all have a fabulous day!  it’s housework day for me today – oh my poor hubby – he hasn’t said a word but the place is a disaster!  hhahhaha!
i will see you here tomorrow for the NEW ELISABETH BELLs for SCACD – it’s blog hop time!

so i finally got to play with my quilling stuff (also referred to s paper filagree)!  we featured a quilling artist in our first issue of Through the Craft Room Door and i just fell in love with her work!  i have had it on the outskirts of my radar for a couple years but just felt a little overwhelmed.  apparently it has been on ALOT of radars lately – Provo Craft is coming out with some quilling dies for the Cuttlebug,  CardMaker had numerous quilling cards and articles in their most recent issue and i have been seeing it pop up on blogs too.  After doing the quilling article with Clare Buswell I was ready to jump in.  and i am glad i did!

these are the bits n pieces i made with pezzy while we were watching a movie.  she did some red ones herself even – i twirled and she made the tear drop shape.

my card is inspired by the following challenges:

Papertake weekly – Sketch
Frosted Designs – Use Masks
Daring Cardmakers – Die Cuts
Our Creative Corner – Blossoms

and here is my first run:

**squeal** – is it bad that i am totally pleased with myself????

my patterned paper is K&Co and the centers are Spellbinders of course.  before i took them out of the dies i used my foam blending tool to ink them.

my papers are all papertrey ink – i find their colors to be brighter than SU and have been using them more & more.  The light blue is their newest color – hawaiian shores.

i used a new MS border punch and then gave the border and center some teeny pearl accents with Viva Decor pearl pen in Cream.

ALL of my quilling supplies are from Lake City Craft Co. in nixa MO which i find funny – i used to live right near nixa – but i wasn’t into papercrafting back then.  They have kits and supplies and i am finding them to be very good quality.  i bought the beginners kit, a critter kit and then a bunch of packs of their quilling paper.  i think one of my fears was cutting all that paper but NOPE.  the packs of pre-cut paper are not expensive at all and you get a TON of strips.  Wanna see?

how about seeing up CLOSE???  that’s right – for everyone who is still with me and reading i have a whole shebang of quilling goodies from Lake City Craft for one random winner – all you need is a quilling tool and glue!  just leave me a comment before i wake up wednesday morning!

The tool i use is the slotted one.  the glue that came in the starter kit i got is not labeled but it is a fairly thin very quick drying white glue that dries clear.

and now we are off to the library nd post office!

i hope your week is off to a great start!
