TIOT and a pezza’s way video!

hi everyone!

another trip to walmart yesterday, another zero at finding more cricut lite cartridges.  they only have their carts marked down to $34 and they do not seem to be selling – i think they are the same exact cartridges that have been sitting there for a year 😛

i have a treat for YOU today tho – it’s another Pezza’s Way video!

i was trying so hard not to laugh!!  unfortunately i missed the funniest part when i turned off the camera – she says momma i am more funner than tim holtz!  lord she’s silly!

now on to my project!

suzanne gave us a great challenge – weaving! the DTs have done an incredible job so be sure to go check out the rest of them!

my card is inspired by two other challenges as well:

Mojo Monday Sketch
Creative Inspirations – beach themed colors – yellows, blues, tans
Papertake Weekly – Flowers
Crafty Creations – Shine
Stamp Something – Summer

so here is mine:

Susana has these AMAZING collage stamps in her store now from I Brake For Stamps – i think they are just heavenly!! This one is called Flying Swallow. each one is positively exquisite! i stamped the image in black and then i used Inspirations shimmering paints to highlight areas and inages on the stamp to bring them out. I used Buttercup, Aquamarine and Tan and i thinned them with water to get more of a sheer wash rather than a thick paint. that’s one of the things i love about these paints – the versatility. despite thinning them with water i lost NONE of the SHIMMER!

my gorgeous copper paper is actually plain tan paper sprayed with PSST pearl by Tsukineko. This mist gives you pure shimmer without changing the color in any way – so you can make ANY paper you have into shimmer paper quickly and easily! i punched it with the Martha Stewart deep edge trellis punch and then weaved my ribbon through. (i really wanted blue ribbon but DESPITE having 37 pounds of ribbon i apparently don’t have a thin blue one other than navy ACK!) the blue background is embossed with one of the new tim holtz embossing folders by sizzix (checkerboard) and let me just say i have been VERY IMPRESSED with these folders!  they emboss VERY WELL and i know Sizzix makes many others that are very sute too – cuttlebug/ProvoCraft may not have this market cornered for long! i made the tab from one end of a spellbinders label die. i finished off with a few pearls using my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen – SO EASY to use!!

this was a really fun, quick card to whip up (another incredible advantage of these gorgeous collage stamps!) So what kind of weaving would YOU do??? join our challenge over on the SCACD store blog and let us see!!! while you are ther,e have you entered to win the fabulous blog candy Susana has up for grabs?? and i will see y’all tomorrow for an exciting blog hop of brand new elisabeth bell sweetness!!!
hugs
