triple the fun! challenges challenges everywhere!

it almost feels like cheating….! my first card incoporates THREE challenges in one.

part 1 – this week on paper play challenges (co-founded by the talented sandie – a pezzy playgroup member, my friend mandy and a couple others i believe) the challenge is to make a background rather than use patterned paper. LOVE this – i started this way and actually had a hard time using patterned paper in the beginning!

part 2 – ashley’s etsy challenge – i am a bit late as the new one went up today but hopefully she will forgive me!!! the shop spotlighted last week was alliebeans and this was the piece that caught my eye and i used it to inspire my background:

part 3 – for the LO of the card i used mojo monday:

and here is what i came up with:

3-in-1

3-in-1

for my etsy inspired background i used alcohol inks on rangers glossy paper in cranberry, red pepper, wild plum and copper alcohol mixative just blotted on with a felt pad.  next i stamped with some Inkadinkados randomly with brilliance moonlight white ink and clear embossed.  finally i randomly stamped with some archival ink.  next i used a butterfly as my focal image – stamped with versamark and then dusted with perfect pearls in copper, berry twist and blush.

And my card:

*cheep* easter fun

This card was quick and FUN!  i started with the cool patterned paper – i have had it forever – i believe it came from the blossoms and butterflies stack.  i used a cuttlebug embossing border folder along the edge of the blue panel.  the images are colored with copics, cut out with nesties and edged with pearlescent lime brilliance ink using a foam ink blender.  i used baby blue liquid pearls to highlight the embossing and added the dotted border.  i used green liquid pearls to highlight the flower centers and polkadots on the eggs.

i sized the images down before printing – something i love about digi images as rubber is almost always larger than i like to work with.  are they just TOO ADORABLE!?!??!?  i LOVE them!!

i hope you didn’t mind the pic heavy post today!!!    ready for the weekend?  i know i am!!!
