a little teaser for ya!

hi all!

anybody attend any Mardi Gras parades this year???  oh how i miss them!  however, i was lucky enough to get a King Cake fix – three arrived from my momma yesterday YUM!  My boys still remember the parades they went to when they were younger but i will have to take Pezza so she can have the experience too.  we don’t bother with the French Quarter parades – too crazy.  the area where my mom lives is small town big time so we go there.

Today i have a little teaser for you from one of the projects I am working on for the upcoming issue of Through the Craft Room Door:

Aren’t they CUTE?!!?!  they are a few of the digital elements i got in a FREE – yes FREE – digital kit CHOCK FULL of digi goodness from Scrap Girls – one of the best digi sites out there.  This kit is called Refresh and it includes not only papers and embellishments but also some digital brushes and templates along with instructions on how to use them and customize them – it can really expand your digi skills!  so what am i going to do with it????  well that will only be revealed in the next issue of Through the Craft Room Door but i am sure you will love it!  NOT a subscriber???  what are you waiting for? ???  CLICK HERE to go to the Subscription info page.

Now is SUCH a good time to get involved with TTCRD – we have SO many new things going on for the second year of the magazine!  and to start it all off we are having a BIRTHDAY PARTY and EVERYONE is invited!!!!  yep that’s right!  we have opened up a good bit of our website to everyone – you don’t have to be a subscriber (actual magazine content is still subscriber-only).

What do we have planned?  i can tell you it involves lots of prizes!  we have gifts from the likes of The Greeting Farm, SCACD, Stamp Fairy, Soft Pencil, Basic Grey, My Mind’s Eye, Great Impressions and more!!!!  The party will start on April 1 and run through April 8th so mark your calendars!  In the meantime – get your Subscription in and you can get a PDF of the most recent issue that is just now *hitting the streets*!  Also check out our current submission calls HERE – you do NOT need to be a subscriber to submit!

we look forward to another fantastic year!

SC247 Itty Bitty Betty Witchy Poo

Well crawling out of the sick-o stupor a bit today – it has moved down from my heaad and throat to my throat and chest.  FABulous!  but at least it means my brain is in somewhat working order.  so far only 1 of the 3 insurance adjusters has made an appearance – lame. so i suppose i will be chasing them down tomorrow – i tell ya knee deep in fun over my way folks! but i DID get a little crafty this morning!!!

have you SEEN the new Pink Cat Studio Digi site?????  SUHweeeeeeeet!!!  MAIN reason i like digis – usually cheaper!  PCS is not a whole lot cheaper BUT you get to pick each character – sometimes in groups i like 2 of the 4 images or something but i have to buy them all ya know!

SC247anywho i narrowed down my choices to 2 and i used todays sketch over on SCS.  it worked out just perfect for the adorable little Itty Bitty Betty in her Witch Costume:

I didn’t get too fancy with this one as i am still reeling a bit from being sick but i still think it turned out cute!  the stripe paper is VERY shimmery – i just love it.  it is by reminisce but i have no idea if it is current or old….the purple panel is SEI velvet which i just LOVE using on anything *cool weather* like halloween, fall, christmas…..i just had to add the little froggy – one of my all time fave cuts from y paper dolls cricut cartridge – a great one for halloween stuff.

SC247 close up

i colored IBB with copics. her purple hatband is colored in with Creative Inspirations Shimmer paints.  i added some Glossy Accents to the frog’s eyes and her pumpkin bucket and boy it really adds to the image – my buddy suzanne does it all the time and i usually forget.

i also couldn’t resist giving her an extra little friend – one of my exclusive skittle spiders – love those little eyeballs!  they crack me up EVERY time!

i wanted to give a quick close up of the Pezabling i added in various places around the card – these all come from the Spooky Mix and made for the perfect little extra!

and now i am going to attempt to actually make some dinner – i haven’t cooked in like THREE days! EGADS!

i sure hope i wake up feeling even a little more well tomorrow!!

have a stampy evening!

better blog siggy
