TIOT: Fluttering by…

GOOD DAY EVERYONE!!!

i hope you have all had a wonderful week! nearly the weekend!  i don’t know what we are going to be up to this weekend….it is supposed to rain pretty much the ENTIRE weekend so that stinks.

for those that have been asking – the kittens and momma josephine are doing well.  Josie seems to be improving health wise and is such a happy little lovey dovey cat.  she purrs super loud the instant she sees anyone and just wants you to pet and scratch her.  her fave is tummy rubs and she will roll on her back for one.  the babies are gaining weight and starting to open their eyes.  they are also starting to like petting too and they roll over for tummy rubs just like momma! they even attempt little teeny kitten purrs which are SO CUTE.  i am really enjoying them!

Through the Craft Room Door challenge – you only have a few more days to enter something in the challenge for a chance to win $50 to spend at Oozak – my fave place for Copics plus lots of great stamps to choose from for those not into copics.

while you are on the Magazine site be sure to browse around and check out everything else we have going on there.   to subscribe go to our subscription page where you can even download a free issue so you can check it out if you have not seen it yet.

Color Me Creative classroom site – I am working on colored Pencil 2 now and expect it to launch around May 20th.  Still need to take Class 1?  Sign up now!  in addition I am working on two other classes by request – One is a card making basics class – loaded with tips and tricks to give your cards some punch in ways not always readily noticeable when you see them.  The other class will focus on projects for papercrafters OTHER than cards and scrapbook layouts.  we will do some fancy 3d folding, put together some gift sets and even do some altered wood items using the papercrafting supplies we already have on hand!  finally i have had repeated requests for more Cricut classes over there so I will be working on something for that too! Lots of work to do!

i have a super quick and easy card for you today that still packs lots of “wow” – it is so easy with the I Brake For Stamps Collage stamps Susana has in the store.

this is the butterfly and berries collage. i tried and tried to get a pic that would do this card and this stamp justice but the shimmer and detail were impossible to capture! i started with a patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye Stella Rose – Hattie paper pad. next i embossed a light blue strip with one of the Couture embossing folders – Royalty. Finally i wanted to create a good background for my butterfly collage stamp so i used glossy paper and alcohol inks. i inked up my stamp with Copper Staz On ink and stamped onto the glossy paper. my little bow is done with the Bow Easy (love that thing!)

Be sure to check out all of the Collage stamps susana has – they really make it easy to do gorgeous cards in no time!

and here is momma and babies.  the little ginger baby is the handful one – i expect lots of highjinks out of her in weeks to come.  the little grey ones are more laid back, especially the one curled up here – he is very much a *whatever* baby.  dontcha just love their teensy noses????

i hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
