i love mud…

hi all!

wow what a day i am having.  i have a kid who can’t poop and a cat who can’t stop.  momma kitty had to take a trip to the vet yesterday – fever and diarrhea.  she got an antibiotic shot and pills to help stop the diarrhea.  doc said kittens look great!  she has been quite the little explorer at night and i always go down to stuff knocked over 😛

my buddy Terri over at Stampsalive is having one heck of a good sale on copic sketch markers – buy 10 at $5.15 and get 4 FREE!!!!!!!!!!!  that’s only 3.68 per marker folks!!!!

while i was down there this morning i put together another LO using a Page Maps sketch (LOVE those!)

There’s no journaling because the pics are pretty self-explanatory!  This is pezza and her best buddy from next door.  that area is usually my vegie garden in the summer.

i used two of the newer Cricut Cartridges for this one – elegant edges and damask decor – both are extremely good cartridges!  The patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Pink Plum collection.  It paired up perfectly with some Bo Bunny Double Dot basics paper – Blush and Bashful.  i LOVE bo bunny dot paper and dream of having a pack of it in every color!!!  the back is solid so it’s perfect!

My scallop base piece and the circle piece are both from the Elegant Edges.  These cartridge has some great shapes and creative features BUT it does not do shadows.  i am a shadow girl.  i cannot go without so i cut my base pieces .2 larger.  however they don’t match up exactly when you do that so it is not perfect but better than nothing!  The three flourish-y pieces are from the Damask Decor cartridge.  FANTASTIC shapes and this one has shadows for everything – including the layers so you can use them alone if you want to.  i cut the title using the Ashlyn’s Alpha cartridge – it is such a good chunky font – too many are really skinny.  everything is edged with vintage photo distress ink.  i love the fact that for LESS than the cost of ONE of those large spellbinders dies i got a whole cartridge full of them PLUS frames and borders and other things – such a better bargain!

and now it’s time for another cup of coffee -n it has been a 3 cup kind of day here so far!  i hope you all have a wonderful weekend and happy mother’s day to all the other mommies out there!
