TIOT:jingle all the way & a video tut for ya!

hi everyone!
how is everyone doing on their christmas cards???  i am happy and relieved to say mine are in my mailbox TODAY!  YAY!!!!  this is really early for me but i guess i started earlier than usual this year or something!  of course i only send out about 20 – not crazy like some folks!!!  a quick trip to Michaels this morning will enable me to put the last few touches on my decorating so i should have pics of that for ya tomorrow for those interested!

Suzanne will be coming by this afternoon for a magazine pow-wow.  it’s always good to see her though we hardly have time for it we are both so busy!  remember the magazine subnission deadline is dec 4!!!

here is another one of my Christmas cards for you today:

I LOVE this little jingle bell image – it is just a perfect little image for a card. It is called Bell of Joy and is only available with the purchase of the full set of the Victoria Case Winter Hearts and Hugs set from Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design. i colored it with copics.

the sweet little matching poinsettias are done with air dry clay – Two kinds are available in Susana’s store – Hearty and Makins. both are great – easy to work with and no baking required! they are also very lightweight! For these particular pieces i used a ready made mold – you can find them all over etsy. i used white clay and as soon as i popped them out of the mold i brushed them with Perfect Pearls mica powders and then let them dry. susana has the kits available – four pearls, perfect medium and two brushes. AWESOME stuff!!!

now let me tell you about the gorgeous shimmering snowflakes! you won’t believe how easy it is! i started with a product called Clearsnap Design Adhesives – these are so cool and so versatile! at the end of this post you can watch a video detailing all of the different ways you can use these. they are very similar to rub ons BUT they are double sided adhesive. so you lay it on your paper and rub over it with your finger, peel the backing off and then cover the design, in this case with perfect pearls to match the poinsettias. i t sticks to the adhesive design and ta da!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! i finished each snowflake off with a glittering center of Viva Decor holographic glitter liner.

The design adhesives are incredibly versatile – check out this video for lots of tips!

let me know how you like it!
