monster get well wishes from Artful Inkables

hi all!!!

i am so excited – i FINALLY get to pick up my sewing machine today and i am SO hoping it is all fixed up and wonderful now that i am wanting to get back to sewing!  we were at webfabrics yesterday doing a little show n tell with the ladies there – the project is for the holiday issue of Through the Craft Room Door – and of COURSE hollyn needed to pick up some fabrics for herself.  well she spotted some brightly colored transportation fabrics called On the Go and HAD to have them – she wants me to make her a special placemat 😛  it will be really cute i think!

yesterday we had a playgroup over here so we could do a Dinner Divas meal exchange – SUCH a good deal – i made enough food for 6 meals and got 6 different meals in return – yep 6 nights of no cooking for me – freezer is all stocked up for emergencies.  it is also nice getting together with other moms and i should really do it more often for me AND pez!

You may remember i was on the Artful Inkables Design Team – well we all took a bit of a hiatus but things are back up and moving again with some great NEW stuff coming  you can keep an eye on the new goings on over on the AI blog!!  i just received two new stamp sets from Kristin at AI and i just HAD to use the Monster
Medical set – who knew GERMS could be so CUTE!  The current Think Ink challenge is a color combo – use complimentary colors.  i started out intending to use purple and yellow but ended up with purple and green somehow – ah well when the creativity is flowing you just have to go with it!  ayway since flu season is coming i thought i should get a get well gift set together:

my card uses Jen’s Sketch For You To Try.  i Cuttlebugged all of my green base pieces and then accented with some colorful stripey paper.  The Monster Medical set comes with lots of stamps so it makes it really easy to do a coordinated set of projects.  the tissue box was perfect to use as an embellishment.  my other embellishment is made by cutting felt (i get ALL of my felt from Felt on the Fly on etsy) with spellbinders dies.  a mini glittered skittle is PERFECT for the centers.

the purple mug has some Chicken Noodle Soup in a mug mix in it.  i made my tag and tag holder using Tags Bags Boxes and More on my Cricut.  The little tag slides out and has directions for making the soup – i LOVE these types of recipes and the BEST books for oodles of ideas for this kind of thing and WAY MORE are by CQ Products – i have been using their books for years and really love them – there are also some great scrapping idea books and awesome recipe books to give as gifts!

my little gift bag was also cut using the Tags Bags Boxes and More Cricut cartridge.  how CUTE are those little GERMIES!??!!?!  hahahha!

inside i have a little stash of helpful items – tissue, hand sanitizer and cough drops.

i got the mini hand sanitizer at bath and body works – i am always on the lookout for mini items to have on hand for gift sets.

i think this would cheer anyone up!  i might even put it up in my etsy store – it has been QUITE neglected lately!

well time to roll into the shower and get my day moving!!!

hugs all!
