splitcoast Make N Take

soooooo…i wait 14 years and finally have my little girl.  of course i immediately begin buying adorable little barrettes and making rockin’ hair bows…

mommy: “pezza do you want me to put a ponytail in your hair today so you can see while at school?”
Pezza:” NO!”
Mommy: “Why not?”
Pezza: “because  i hate ponies.”
Mommy: “Ummmmm…okaaaaaaaay…well i could do pigtails instead…”
Pezza: “i hate pigs.”
Mommy: “Ummmmmmm, what DO YOU like?”
Pezza: “Snakes.”
Mommy: “oh……well what if mommy knows how to do a snake tail for your hair…”
Pezza: “i would LOVE that!  let’s do it!”
Mommy: “okaaaaaay…”

and the request today:

Pezza: Mommy do you know how to make ladybug wings for my hair?”
Mommy: “ummmmmmmm….what do they look like?”
Pezza: “THIS!”

and there you have it – in case you get the same request…

i have been REALLY busy prepping for the Splitcoast Stampers get together this weekend.  In addition to the 60 tags i did for my swap project i am teaching two make n takes focusing on Viva Decor Products.  So that means making them AND kitting 19 more to bring with me!!!  here is one of them:

I did this for CHA as well.  Angela will have lots of Viva Decor supplies on hand for folks after the party.  however if you don’t live in northern VA but you want to make this or something similar everything but the wood base, cardstock and cricut can be purchased at SCACD!  i glued a pin on the back of this one so i could wear it but i would also make a really cool embellishment or card focal point.  Don’t want to use a wood base?  you can get the same look using white heavy cardstock with the Inka Gold.  The Cricut cut is from Lacy Labels using Mango Frost patterned paper.  what do ya think?  it was a hit at CHA i hope it is a hit at A Happy Stamper this weekend!

i also committed to making some cookies and cakes with my Cricut Cake machine so i will be doing that as well the next 2 days – yay for hubby coming back in town tonight!!!

i did finish my craft room clean out and have pics to share but have not had time to get them into a slide show for you.  maybe friday???  the clean out and organization efforts have spread to the rest of the house and so i am working on that as well.  next up?  the fall work in the garden!
