Mini invite & clearly sparkling – double duty today!

ever look at your to-do list for the day and have this vague sense that it will take DAYS to actually do it?  that would be ME!!  however i AM gradually scratching a few things off…  i am covering two challenges today – TIOT for Susana’s Custom Art & Card Design SCACD AND my project for Creative Inspirations paints which are carried in Susana’s store as well!

our TIOT challenge for SCACD was two-fold – an invitation AND we had to use red, white n blue! rather than the traditional party invitation type project i went down a little different road and came up with this:
it is more of an individual invitation to get together with a friend for coffee. It’s a cute little 3″ square mini notecard. I used a Lockhart stamp called Teapot – you can get it HERE in susana’s store. i stamped it with Memento black and colored with Copics. the blue patterned paper is from one of the new Kaisercraft 6×6 pads Susana just got in – Utopia. These new pads are GORGEOUS! i finished off with a teeny prima from the Tiny Tots set and stamped a sentiment from Studio G. sweet & simple!

next i challenged the Creative Inspirations Paints team to Clearly Sparkle – they had to use their paints on something clear! here is mine:

I got my colors from my paper – i used a piece from a mini k&Co pad i think it is.  That FABBY ribbon is from my outlet score tuesday!  The center is a couple primas with a glittered skittle center.  the band is punched with an ek success border punch and accented with a Viva Decor yellow Gloss Gel Pen.

My main image is from Peachy Keen stamps – i just adore it!  i stamped it on acetate with Staz On black ink.  Then i let it dry and painted the BACK with the CI paints.  i put them on thickly to minimize any uneven coverage.  it really sparkles & shines!

MAKE SURE YOU STOP BY AND SEE THE OTHER PROJECTS FROM BOTH DESIGN TEAMS!!
