hi everyone!
i hope you have all been having a great long weekend! ours has been really nice so far – nothing special just hanging out together. i had hoped to have my first cricut cake review for you today but pezzy was really sick saturday so we had push it back a day. Luckily she was feeling much better yesterday and back to her usual shenanigans. so i am hoping to get some time to finish up the cookies with her today. i can say that i am IN LOVE with the cake machine!
i am also in love with desperate housewives! i mentioned awhile back drake got me season 1 for mother’s day – absolutely loving the shows and i am most of the way through all of the episodes! guess i will be needing season 2 now! you know i am always sad that i don’t get showtime so i can watch the Tudors – i wonder if that’s on DVD too? i will have to look! anyone else watch it?? is it good? i am a HUGE history/time period shows geek – if i had time to read i would read historical books! sad right?
So today i wanted to show you a card i made recently using one of the techniques in my Nancy Curry book and a GORGEOUS collage stamp – Susana just started carrying bunches of these and i adore them! you can see the whole selection >>here<<. there is just SO much you can do with collage stamps!
The patterned paper comes from green at heart by basic grey. i stamped my image on glossy cardstock with versamark and then inked it up with shades of green. Afterwards i stamped it again slightly out of line using Encore Champagne ink – Encore ink pads are AMAZING and don’t get nearly enough attention! i finished off with a border punch and sizzix corner die and accented both with Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. The bow was done with the bow easy – i layered two of them and then wrapped a sheer piece of ribbon around the center.

I gotta break down and get some of those pearl pens. I love what they do. Great card!
That is just beautiful! I luv collage stamps too!
Very pretty! You used my favorite colors – purple & green. I don’t usually like them together, but what you did is nice.
Can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the cake machine.
