WHEW – i survived CHA!!!

hiya!

SO sorry the updates sort of just fell off!  i have to say i had a blast doing the super show before CHA started but WOW that was an exhausting week!!!!  by Tuesday i wasn’t even sure what my name was!  i AM glad to be home and see hubby and the kids, pezzy came to the airport and was SO happy to see me.  i hve to say hubby did n amazing job as mister mom this week, the house was clean and laundry done even!!!!  however something apparently died in the fridge so i will be investigating that later…lucky me…..

day 4 of my trip (only day 2 of the actual CHA show) was spent covering lots of ground and seeing what all was out there.

there is really no way to take pics of everything i saw and those pics are out there already anyway so i will just fill you in on my own personal fun!

i got to finally meet my friend ashley from heart hugs designs & the etsy inspired design challenges.  SUCH a sweetie!

my first stop that evening after the show was the meet n greet for kitchen sink stamps – LOVE those stamps – great effect with little time spent!  a great way to produce an incredible image with no coloring – i don’t always feel like coloring….i really think these stamps are genius!  of course flat catherine came too and had her pic with the fabulous Queen of Grunge herself!

after that we ran over to the cheesecake factory for dinner – my first ever visit there!  from left to right – tammy, vicki, me, kerry, suzanne, terri & jeanne– oh my oh my was that a FUN time!! what a wonderful group!  OH and red velvet cheesecake *SWOON*

i also had another workshop to attend:

these are pics of one bangle from different angles – i LOVES it and it was SO easy!!!!!  YES we will be doing  tutorial on this one!  i may even hold a class if enough folks want to come learn this – be sure and let me know!

i also did the make n take at Tim’s Ideology booth – how cool is THAT!?!?!?  & talk about easy!!!  can’t wait to get some of his new ideology goodies in to play with!

Flat Catherine ran into a friend of hers over at the product performers booth!

some other items that i really liked – Zutter has an edge distresser machine that will distress 20 pages at a time – so coming home to live with me…..and product performers had a new stamp positioner on display that blows the stamp a ma jig way!  i don’t always like DCWV stacks but the next few are SUPER sweet.  Bo bunny and SEI both have fantastic papers coming, doodlebug has the MOST adorable ladybugs collection coming, and basic grey’s Green at Heart collection is wonderful – i will be holding a cardmaking workshop with that collection once it arrives.  Clear Scraps is still one of my faves and they have wonderful new clear banners as well as these super cute little brag book purses.  possible classes as well……..i will have some new products to play with that are just deeVINE when combined with acrylic albums and such.  Boss Kuts has some aDORable dies this time around as always!  another SUPER fave – Art Institute glitter has this deeeeLISHus combo mix of fine and chunky glass glitter with microbeads – need to find that stuff!!!!!

finally one of the most amazing things i saw was glue film.  this stuff ROCKS!!!  it is a clear flexible sheet,  lay a piece on the back of your paper and hit it with your heat gun, it melts to your paper and once cool is not sticky anymore.  run it through ANY die cutter or embosser, lay it on your project where you want to glue it down, warm it a bot with your heat gun and it sticks!  no more trying to glue intricate pieces for me!!!  they also make colored foils that already have the glue film attached to the back!  you will see a video on this just as soon as i gather a few more brain cells together………..they are predominantly on strike right now…….

big hugs
