JB13: stitch it up!

well we didn’t have enough to do these days so hubby decided to fix up the boys bathroom (drywall was in hideous shape – our builders really did a crappy job) which means i was painting it last night 🙂  i am not getting all crazy with it – freaks him out!  just a soft blue for the walls and i got some brown and blue towels on sale at kohls on black friday – SCORE!  i did manage to finish the whole thing in 4 hours – i am not the fastest painter but i AM good and i do love painting!  i painted all three floors of the house when we moved in but i got pregnant before i got to the kitchen, foyer and office.

i was told CHA classes would be up for registration today but i don’t see them yet – though the odds of getting into tim’s are slim & none i’m sure!  however if you are a tim fanatic be sure to head to his blog tomorrow – it is the first day of his 12 tags of Christmas!!!!  i SO look forward to these every year – just LOVE them!

today is cricut monday!  that means i am sharing my project for this week’s Just Buggin’ Challenge – Samantha always has great ideas on these and i LOVE being a part of the design team!  OF COURSE i have been playing with my new expression all weekend but this card is pre-expression and the challenge was to add STITCHING to your card so here is my take:

this was way fun as i don’t do this NEARLY enough!  i had designed the present border in Design Studio trying to mimic a Martha Stewart punch i saw but then i couldn’t get it to cut.  it uses 2 cartridges and i don’t have a jukebox so i would have to switch them manually but i never could get it to work and finally i gave up!

i not only stitched one of the panels on the card front but also my diecuts.  the green & white octagons were leftover cuts from the noel card i made awhile back.  i love how the die cut shapes looked stitched on like an applique!

i will be showing you more fun cricut stuff as the week goes on, in the meantime if you’re cricut crazy or just need a little push to get your cricut motor running head over to the Just Buggin blog for wonderful inspiration from all the other DTs and play along with the challenge!
