of sunsets and watermelons…

a little conversation for ya on PDD friday:

mommy: hey honey i am going to paint you a new foot stool.  what do you want me to paint on it?

baby: stripes with polka dots.

mommy: ok. *shows her the box full of ranger paint dabbers* pick out whatever color you want.

baby picks out Sunset Orange and Watermelon (just like the lamp i did for her.)

so here is stage 1:

stool top

i painted the white base coat on, taped off with wide painters tape and the Pezzy actually painted the stripes herself.  i went back & did a second coat and touch up myself.  then i added the dots with white opal liquid pearls.

Stage 2:

mommay: honey we have a strip on each side of the stool where i can do some stamping – what would you like me to stamp on it? *thinking of flowers, cute little buggies….*

baby: motorcycles…just motorcycles and helmets…

and so:

stool side

*sigh* no frilly girl here!  the stamp set is from CTMH and i got it for the pages i plan on doing of hubby on his bike.  but it does the trick and she loves it so i guess i did a good job 🙂  definitely daddy’s girl over here!

have a stampin fun day!
