ASC3:do YOU get BOO’d at Halloween??

hi all!

so sorry i missed PDD tuesday yesterday but Pezzy The Wonder Tot got up at 4:50 yesterday morning – so that severely cut into my *ME* time.  i think that child is trying to kill me!  thank goodness she is too stinkin’ cute for words (tho considerably less cute at 4:50 in the morning…)  luckily she went to playschool for a couple hours so i got a bit of time squeezed in!

a few business items first:

  • some of you may notice some big changes on the website – alot of products have been taken off.  due to lack of space (and time) i will no longer stock as many items so i am phasing them out as they sell out.  i CAN still do special orders for folks used to me carrying certain things – just contact me about it.
  • Stamps – I have had a HUGE delay from the manufacturer and have been out of stock of a number of stamps for some time – inexcuseable really and i do apologize!  However they should be in stock in the next week or so – these include the skittle bug stamps, the nestie frame stamps, AND A SET OF NEW CHRISTMAS STAMPS.
  • The new holiday skittles are literally flying out of here!  because they are holiday specific i will not be re-ordering once these are gone so if you plan on getting them don’t wait too long!
  • Currently working on the next batch of skittles – DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN SKITTLE FORM???  let me know and we’ll work on it!!

For my project today i have one of my BOO sets.  our neighborhood does the BOO game – you leave a set of halloween treats in secret at a nieghbor’s house and then they hang a sign out letting folks know they have been BOO’d and must leave BOO sets at TWO other neighbor’s houses.  it is fun to look around and see how far it has spread!

Boo set

IMG_0011I used Aly’s sketch for the sign that will be hung up to show the house has been BOO’d.  aly is an amazing little stamper – 10 years old and doing her own challenge blog!!  her blog is being featured on the Pile It On blog this week and Pezadoodle is also providing a $15 gift certificate to one random winner chosen from all who participate!!  i sure hope everyone will check it out!

Just a word about Pile It On – oh how i wish i had runa cross THIS blog before – what a fantastic idea.  i could have been joining in all along and of course THIS project is one of the few times i only incorporated ONE challenge in my project….DOH!  i think i will be checking this one out ALOT more often!!!!

Here are some close ups of the set:

I used my fleur de lis spellbinders set for this project.  i think this is my favorite one of all the pendants (and apparently everyone else’s since i have been trying to get one for Michelle and every order i get in has it backordered!)

I saw the fleur de lis used in a similar way on Cathleen’s blog and really liked it so that is where my inspiration started but then i went totally off on a tangent and went from making a card to this whole BOO set.  Sometimes you just have to go with the flow 🙂  all of the green panels are up on foam dots and the spider web piece i used in place of a bow has EACH piece on foam so there is a lot of dimension – i think i am obssessed with those right now…….

The ghost, web and letters are cut with my cricut using Paper Dolls and the Pooh Font.

I finished it off with some SKITTLES!  the little skittle spider hanging down near the ghost, two skittle webs and then on the die cut web is another skittle spider.

Next up is the little bottle full of halloween M&Ms.  I have the smaller fleur de lis pendant here and another, tinier glittered ghost.

aren’t those M&Ms the BEST?!?!?!  I LOVE halloween colors!!!

Here is the tag that will go on the pail i will put it all in.  A couple more skittle webs and spider and a piece of the fleur de lis border.

i hope you all find stampy time today!!!

  6. I think that everything posted made a great deal of sense. However, wgat about this?
suppose you wrote a catchier post title? I mean, I don’t wish to
tell you how to run your blog, but suppose you added a post title that grabbed
people’s attention? I mean ASC3:do YOU get BOOd at Halloween??
    | Pez-a-Doodle Designs is a little plain. You might
peek at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they
write article titles to grab viewers to open the links.
You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to grab
people excited about what you’ve written. Just
my opinion, it might bring your blog a little bit more interesting.
