another one down!

hi everyone!

before i get into today’s project i wanted to let you know i have listed several single Studio G halloween packs from last year’s series 20 on ebay.  these are all extras from sets that arrived incomplete and i figured now might be the time to post them up since halloween is right around the corner!  i also have a number of Christmas singles from last year plus alot of other misc. ones i will be posting in a few days.  my name on ebay is Cerridwen2007.

i have yet another project inspired by the blog challenge blog hop.   this one is a LO and it is a LO of ME hahhahah!  that hardly ever happens!  it incorporates 3 challenges:

1. All About Me challenge – what color am i: now i only HALF did this – there was a twist – i was supposed to scraplift one of the DT’s samples but i just couldn’t make that part happen so i did my own thing.

2. Practical Scrappers – Use die cuts

3. Just buggin’ – ALTER your die cuts

and here is my LO:

what color LO

his theme excited me as well and really got me scrappin.  it is something i have been contemplating alot lately because i notice in my crafting, my clothing, and my house my taste in color (and style) has changed DRASTICALLY in the last couple years.  and so for my LO it says:

What color am I??  Flourescent Orange with a chance of Milled Lavender  Now although i did not scraplift exactly i DID scraplift the wording from one of the samples – she was turquoise with a chance of pink and i thought that was a great way to describe mysekf as well.

i have always been very vintge-y – muted, earthy tones.  but lately i find i am drawn to the wild flourescent tones which are so popular right now.  however the vintage stuff will still shine through occasionally!  i have a feeling it has a lot to do with pezzy and her fun taste and style – not at all a prissy princess in pastels and lace!

what color LO close upmy title is partially diecut letters and a diecut tag.  the basics of my LO are all bright colors and then for the embellies i pulled out the milled lavender and a touch of peeled paint.  they are die cut from grungepaper using sizzix dies.  i covered them all with milled lavender ink.  then i painted the bird and a flower with milled lavender crackle paint and covered the rest with distress stickles – i love the way it all turned out.  at the bottom is one last die cut – a great big fabric flower i purchased on Etsy!

i used one of the few pics i have of me that is recent – hanging out on the couch with pezzy and tiger!

well i am off to cook some dinner and then hopefully post some more of the studio G extras i have up on ebay!

happy stampin y’all!

better blog siggy
