Ways with Nesties….new stamps

blog tag

good morning everyone!!  i am TERRIBLY tired as i had my CTMH scrapbook club last night and always stay way later than i intend to!  Cori had an awesome LO for us as always and the girls are really fun – i enjoy it alot!  and cori just cracks me up!  she is so my kind of girl!

i am SO excited about the nestie frames my mom created – i have been playing with the digi versions for awhile now and i am so pleased to finally have a couple in rubber!  they work just as i had imagined!  so here are some samples for ya!

i paired this first one with one of the GORGEOUS elisabeth bell images available exclusively at my very good buddy susana’s store:

i stamped the frame and then cut it out with the scallop circle nesties.  There are three images in the set and this is the largest of the 2 frame images – it is approx 4″ in diameter.  i think these frames go really well with the ever popular elisabeth bell, whiff of joy and tilda images but they can work so well for really any main image stamp you want to use them with!

Notice the little flourish – the playgroup will be focusing on grungeboard this month – i always get so many questions about it!  the flourish is a very simple, basic grungeboard treatment.  i just inked it up really well with the same turquoise gem versamagic ink i used to edge the scallops with.  then i covered it with shabby shutters distress stickles – one of the newest stickle colors from tim holtz.  i LOVE the distress stickles because soetime you want a little extra oomph but the original stickles would be a bit much.  this gives a more subtle almost sophisticated glitz to your design.  all 17 new colors are in stock now and i have them listed for individual purchase – but as a set you DO save a good bit 🙂

next up is another card with the smaller of the 2 scallop circle nestie frames:

SF DCSC 3 scallop nestie

i used a sketch from the recent Scrapping Friends online crop (FABBY GROUP) for this card.  instead of pairing it with a figure i just used it to frame up my sentiment 🙂

Next is a card using 1 of the the blackberry frame stamps:

this time i paired my frame up with some adorable little bees from Stampin’ Up!  the blackberry frame is a small frame – 2 1/2 x 3″ and also comes with a tiny coordinating frame that is perfect for a matching sentiment.  This design is especially near and dear to me as it is the design my mom painted on my wedding china *grins* so OF COURSE it is my fave!!

be sure to stop by the blogs of the other girls in Pezzy’s Playgroup and see what they have done with their nestie frames as well as those adorable skittlebugs y’all snatch up so fast!  their links are on top of the left hand sidebar!

i hope you all have a super weekend and get lots of playtime in!!  i appreciate your visit to my blog in your busy day and would love to hear your thoughts on these new nestie frames!!  you can get yours HERE.

big hugs!
