lots of them actually!
but first let me tell you how my day started – i know many of you get such a kick out of Pezzy’s antics…well you will like this one!
i am awoken by pez at my bedside telling me she needs a new pull up. the first thing i see when i open my eyes is the clock 3:15 AM. the next thing i see is her holding a bucket full of stuff from my craft room. *SCREECH* i jump out of bed and take her to her bed and ask her what she was doing. s i put her in her bed i see ink and paint on her hands and legs!!!!!! my worst fear has happened! i said (real calmly) honey did you play with mommy’s markers? she said yes but i put the lid back on……
i tell her not to move and race down two flights of stairs. admittedly the damage could have been lots worse. my chair was covered in paint and glitter and the floor was covered in flower soft. then i see it…..on my work area is a completed card for one of my DTs and the bracelet i made at CHA. The card was covered in dimensional pearls and flower soft – DRY – so she had been down there for awhile:

she chose the card that uses what is quite possibly the most expensive paper i have ever purchased…luckily i had already taken my pics so you will see this one again soon when it is time….AND NO she did not go back to sleep……but she did take a nap!

ok so i have been sitting on some VERY VERY exciting news and i can’t stand it any more! if you are from the cricut board you already know a bit about it. i find i am increasingly disappointed with the papercrafting magazines out there. and from what i read over and over on the message boards i frequent i am not the only one! well on our way home from CHA my buddy suzanne and i were discussing this and we have decided to take matters into our own hands!
we are starting our own publication!!!!
suzanne said it best on her blog this morning:
-You will be able to purchase a subscription in pdf format only or a paper AND pdf subscription. The cost will be $20 and under for a year (not firm on pricing yet) with special intro pricing. The first issue will go live April 1st and there after be May/June, July/Aug, etc plus a special Winter Holiday edition. So you have an option to receive it online and print it yourself OR you can get the glossy mag mailed to you AND have access to it as a pdf file (pricing will differ of course for both options). And with both you have access to the special website! (INTERNATIONAL Customers–pdf file subscription offered only right now)
-It will feature EVERYTHING! Reader input is important to us! We will have guests who specialize in different craft areas in one section (our main focus is paper crafting though), we will feature craft rooms, there will be techniques & tutorials galore (w/ videos to match them on the website to further the teaching experience), we will feature ALL stamp/digi companies, ALL craft products and tools, and lots of photos. There will NOT be a bias on what we use—we want you to know about everything out there that there is to know! We will feature all readers and their abilities! We will not have a DT, because we want different people doing their thing for each edition, so there will be great variety but we will ask for submissions and ideas. Cricut, Slice, Big Shot, Cuttlebug projects will be featured, Copics, Prismas and watercoloring will be featured and most of all it will be FUN! And yeah, there will be contests too
)
so what do you think?? the whole project is a huge undertaking and somewhat nerve wracking but i am very excited about it!

now onto my project for today! our challenge over at Just Buggin is to use embossing on our cricut cuts!

Some of you may remember our adventures last summer when our two boys learned how to drive – of COURSE i had to scrap it!
i used the distressed wood cuttlebug embossing folder on the side tan piece above as well as the letters of my title:
i cut the letters using the Pooh Font cartridge (a REALLY REALLY good all purpose font cartridge with lots of options on it) and i went over the embossing lightly with a darker ink and the foam ink blending tool to make it stand out more.
now it’s YOUR turn!
come on over and check out the challenge as well as the other inspiration pieces by the DT girls!
and now i am going to go look for my sanity…..
